Embracing a Private Life

Friends, you will notice that I have not been blogging on here of late. I would like to explain why.

First, because I have tended to spread out my blogging and opened new ones for new projects such as  The Tethered Fairy Ring and Sound Memories, plus I find facebook has become a much more immediate way of blogging as it is easily accessible on my phone but the real reason I have stopped blogging on this site, which maps my personal creative journey, is much deeper.

It started when I took a vow in December 2015 to stay within a 5 mile radius of my home for a whole month.

Doing this  changed my life.

I have been able to become so much more deeply connected to the place, people and area where I live. I developed a personal life. A private life. Whereas before,  working had been my everything.

I have found that the time I would have been travelling back and for to here there and everywhere, I am now able to dedicate to meditation and a journey to personal self through Sanskrit Mantra & Sound Healing.

Through this journey to personal self, I have become so connected to the Universal whole, that other connections, such as personal blogging, have become less significant in my life. Does that make sense?

The truth is, I think I was using social media as if it were my connection to the Universe. It is not. I am my connection to the Universe, as we all are.

I have learnt so much just from simply being still and quiet.

... I have found an inner peace so deep, so utterly beautiful, that words would only skim the surface. There is nothing quite like watching a dragonfly hover above the hazy river at 6.00 am. No manner of words would express this joy more so, than if you got up early to experience it for yourself. And so it is with inner peace. I read books, listened to great teachers but I had to feel it to understand it fully. In finding who I am, I find my connection to the whole, to everything at once.

I was too busy for this. I was too busy to keep still. I was too busy doing all manner of things to find time to simply 'be'. That is precisely why I needed to be still and no doubt why the Universe has chosen in her great wisdom, to have my vocal chords quiet through this healing process.

I would like to stay blogging on this site because it and you have been a great friend to me. And also there are things I would like to share with you that are very exciting. Some of the things that I am DOING. (smiles at self)

But I would also like to write to you and share with you some of the things that I am being when it feels right to do so, because if it feels right to do so, then it is the wish of an energy far greater than I.

Namaste
