To begin at the beginning ...

May 1st saw the start of my Artist in Residence at The Dylan Thomas Boathouse.

What a beautiful evening

This 'Boat' Shed is made by National Theatre wales for their Promenade performance through Laugharne Weekend of Under Milk Wood

We rehearsed a group reading choosing our favourite pieces and
creating a cacophony of Dylan!

The Boathouse have asked me to invite folk to join me for readings on Sunday & Monday
of Laugharne Weekend as part of
National Theatre's visit. Can't wait!

I have invited friends like Sian Eleri Thomas to come and read with me but if you fancy it you's be welcome too. You can email me & let me know you're coming on cherylbeermusic@gmail.com

I invited Sian Eleri Thomas and Denis Lennon to do readings in beautiful places ...

Then we all went to the Writing Shed for me to perform The Tethered Fairy Ring:
A Symphonic Poem for Ukulele

And I became the first person ever to perform Ukulele in the Dylan Thomas Writing Shed

Foto's kindly taken by Jeff Beer by permission of Dylan Thomas Boathouse as part of Dylan 100.

What an absolutely amazing experience! I will be resident for the whole month of May. I have been commissioned to make a digital story & Musical composition called 100 Notes for Dylan which will include the words and images of 100 visitors throughout the month. It will then be exhibited as part of the Dylan 100 Celebrations.

A Thousand Thanks to
Eleri Retallick
for inviting me as Resident Artist.
