WOW! GREAT RESPONSE TO CALLS FOR A DANCER

DDC Street Dance Crew

Wow .. what a great response to my call for a dancer! Thank you for wanting to be a Fusion Inspire Consultant and take part in  my  film shoot.

I really appreciate the effort made by everyone who took the time to answer my shout out.

I am very pleased to tell you that a young dancer from Swansea called Martin Kurina contacted me.

He has set up and runs a street dance school for young people in his community and he has said today that he would like for his school to take part in Fusion Inspire, so we have booked in July 3rd.

Martin  is going to talk with the dancers next week and I will go to the school in July.

After class, when everyone is warmed up, we'll all head down to the beach for the shoot.

How totally cool is that dudes!

Martin Kurina

Seriously, I'm so chuffed because I love the fact that Martin as a young person is making a difference for other young people and that they are coming together to share thier gift. It sits well with me.

If all goes well,  the troop may be up for coming to perfrom live as part of the end production ... we shall see!

Oh, and if you or someone you know wants to go along to DDC Street Dance Crew then why not have a look at the facebook Group Page for full details. Here's the link:

FILM OPPORTUNITY FOR A MALE STREET DANCER

I AM LOOKING FOR A YOUNG ADULT MALE STREET DANCER TO FILM FOR MY PRODUCTION FUSION INSPIRE: KINDLY FUNDED BY THE ARTS COUNCIL OF WALES VIA AN INDIVIDUAL MAINLINE GRANT.

I WOULD PREFER SOMEONE LIVING IN WEST WALES AS THE SHOOT WILL BE AT PEMBREY BEACH.

Context:
The main character Dafydd has been on a quest to 'find himself' that has taken him around the coast of West Wales. He is nearly at the end but at the last hurdle, he gives up on Hope.

Hope is a character who lives in a seaside town, is unemployed and spends his days sleeping but his evenings in night clubs because it's the only place he feels comfortable dancing.

He is an amazing dancer with his own style and flair that he has developed through watching others. He has been through really tough times and his dance is the only thing that pulls him through but he doesn't know what to do with it.

The film shoot will be on the beach and dunes at Pembrey. The film will be used as a projection back drop for this part of the story line during the production which will tour showing in Jan/Feb 2013 at:

The Cwrt House St.David's
St.David's Cathedral
The National Botanic Garden of Wales
St.Cadoc's Church Theatre

There may be a further opportunity to dance as part of the tour but certainly you will be invited as a Special Guest to the performances.

If this is YOU or SOMEONE YOU KNOW then please contact me cherylbeermusic@gmail.com
